Spearfish Creek, located directly outside Spearfish Canyon Lodge, offers some of the most diverse and challenging fishing in the region. Surrounded by massive limestone cliffs, Ponderosa pine, Aspen, and Birch, Spearfish Creek is filled with brown, rainbow, and brook trout. There are a number of smaller streams and creeks in the Canyon, and the fly fishing here is fantastic year-round.
If you’re planning your first fly-fishing adventure or you don’t have your own equipment, you will find everything you need at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge’s Rental Center. Fishing licenses are available at our front desk for your convenience.
